Governor and Chancellor of universities in Madhya Pradesh
(MP), Ramnaresh Yadav has promised to clear his stand on the ongoing controversies
at Oriental University in three to four days. The university suspended its
academic activities last week amid ongoing agitation of students. The students have
alleged that varsity is running various technical courses without any approval from
the concerned authorities.
Governor house has conducted and enquiry acting on the complaints
against the varsity and is waiting for the reply of MP Private Universities
regulatory commission. Once the commission response is registered, the governor
will decide the future course of action.
A few weeks earlier, NSUI National Students Union of India) activists
had met the Governor and submitted a memorandum demanding action against the
university. The complaints were put up after the university administration had
failed to come up with proper documents showing that they have the approval for
running courses, reported Times of India.
