Dr. DK Batra is new Director of Asia-Pacific Institute of Management

Dr. DK Batra, who has over two decades of experience in academic fraternity, has been appointed as Director of Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, Delhi. His appointment is effective from April 3rd, 2012. Dr. Batra has worked with institutions like National Institute of Fashion Technology, Netaji Subhash Institute of Management Sciences, FORE School of Management in various capacities.

Prior to his appointment, he was working as Director and
Vice President (New Projects), Netaji Subhash Institute of Management Sciences.
He has also worked as Senior Professor and Programme Director PGDM
(International Business management), FORE School of Management He also held the
additional post of Registrar of FORE Society. 
In a long stint with National Institute of Fashion Technology New Delhi
spanning 18 years, he has held various senior positions namely: Head- Academic
Affairs of eleven NIFT centers in India, Chairperson Fashion Management Studies
and Head International Linkages.

Dr. DK Batra holds PhD in Management   from Faculty of Management Studies,
University of Delhi. He graduated in BTech from Technological Institute of

He has also been a UNDP Research Fellow to the European Union
& Brazil in the Product Development Area and has been earlier to University
of East London, UK as UNDP fellow.

He is on the PhD Research Board of Jamia Hamdard
University   and has also worked as
Advisor to Ministry of Information Technology project on Human body measurement
conducted by Textile Dept IIT Delhi 2007-10. Currently, he is a consultant to
International trade center Geneva, UNCTAD.
