UK-based Edexcel, which offers academic and vocational training to schools and colleges, plans to partner 40 educational institutions in Tamil Nadu to provide training in various sectors including vocational subjects. Edexcel, a part of Pearson group, has already partnered with institutions like Everonn and Cornerstone in the state.
“We are aggressively increasing our presence in India. The 40 institutions will include public and private educational institutions. While 40 of our affiliate firms would be present in the state, in the second half of this year, we plan to enter Nepal,” David Davies, business manager, Edexcel International has said.
The company currently operates across 85 countries and has delivered 9.6 million examination transcripts in 2009.
