The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has rated the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) with A++ grade in the year 2017. The varsity has now secured the prime position on various parameters including infrastructure, research, evaluation method and learning resources.
In the year 2016, the NAAC rated the university one notch below the present grade. It was ‘A’ grade last year; “This milestone for JNU reflects the sheer hard-work and untiring effort by all members of the university,” said JNU Rector II S C Garkoti.
“We are certain this acknowledgement will further encourage and inspire us all to work even harder to keep JNU ahead of every higher institution in academic teaching and research,” the NAAC said.
It conducted a review of the country’s educational institutions from October 9 to October 11 this year and JNU occupies a prime position amongst the country’s highest ranking universities.
