NBA to organize World Summit on Accreditation in March 2012

National Board of Accreditation is organizing its 1st World
Summit on Accreditation (WOSA-2012) from March 25 to 28 at New Delhi, India.
The Summit would bring together Indian and Global Leaders in Technical and
Professional Education, Educational Administrators, Policy Makers and
Regulatory Bodies, Corporate and Industry. WOSA-2012 would be inaugurated by
the Honorable Union Minister for Education Kapil Sibal. An estimated 1000 delegates
are expected to register for the Summit from India and abroad.

The WOSA-2012 was the culmination of various initiatives
undertaken by the NBA to create an environment of global quality standard on
Indian campuses imparting technical & professional education to help
seamless mobility for academic studies & also while taking up career in the
industry by the students. The CTI (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur), France,
Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, IIM Raipur, AACSB International, USA, Association
for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MUDEK – Turkey) ,
Institution of Engineers,(India), Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur &
Standards for Educational Advancement & Accreditation (SEAA), New Delhi are
the Associates to WOSA-2012. The Summit would be held once in two years.

All India Management Association (AIMA), Computer Society of
India and Pharmacy Council of India, have consented to participate in
WOSA-2012. Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Government bodies like State
Higher Education Commission and Regulatory Authorities, Confederation of Indian
Industry (CII), Assocham, PHD Chamber of Commerce and IITs, IIMs, IIITs, NITs
and Deans and Directors, senior academics of host of public and private
universities from India and abroad as also individual faculty members, among
others are being invited to participate in the WOSA-2012.

The summit would have the participation from the B-Schools,
Engineering colleges, Pharmacy colleges, Central & State universities,
deemed to be universities, Corporate Houses, etc.

A series of Technical sessions on Engineering, Management
and Pharmacy would be held as part of the Summit.

The Summit would also have an Exhibition of the stakeholders
in Higher Professional Education with limited stalls that would be allotted on
‘first cum first served’ basis.
