UGC approves 25 research projects from Karnataka

University Grants Commission (UGC) has approved 25 major
research projects of various higher education institutions in Karnataka thereby
approving Rs 1.87 crore for these projects.

UGC has come out with a list of major research projects in
basic and applied sciences that have been recommended in the areas of
engineering, technology, medicine, pharmacy and agriculture.

Bangalore University (BU) got three major research projects
in the areas of environmental science, zoology and physics and has received Rs 24.5
lakh as research grants.

The University of Mysore (MU) received grants of Rs 20.9
lakh for the research in the areas of geology, environmental science and geography.
Another college, R V College of Engineering got four major research projects in
its kitty, and has got Rs 27.7 lakh of grants, reported New Indian Express.
